recently, I have heard the terms "double offset journal bearing and offset-elliptical journal bearing". What is the difference between these two journal bearings?
What are the advantages of double-offset journal bearing over single-offset journal bearing?
For what speeds and diameters of journal, the double-offset journal bearing preferred? How to arrive at the design of double offset journal bearing?
If possible, please suggest the literature on this journal bearing. I have not seen the material related to double-offset journal bearing.
