Doubling plate on Corten B & 13CR MO45

Hi, Can anybody please let me know that what type of material could be used as a DOUBLING PLATE between Corten B (A588) & CR13 MO45? (Corten B is the Boiler side and CRMO is the DB&B Guillotine damper, Since the welding contractor used the wrong WPS to weld together these two different types of material I have no choice but to grind the wrong weld and cover the gap in between with a doubling plate or try to find a new WPS which could be used between these two materials.
