dough divider problem 1

Hi,

Our dough divider machinery is not working good.
It can not divide dough into similar desired weight.
I do not know much about mechanical design, but I have noticed that an indicator is not in its place like the other one.
Please let me know what does that indicator do?
Is it possible that this little deviation reduce the power of the arm to press the dough?

I don't know anything about dough dividers, but it looks like the split hub where the indicator is not aligned could be loosened and the indicator and the shaft to which is attached can brought into alignment to bring it back into correct timing. Check the sprockets for excessive wear and possible replacement.

The indicators are timing marks. They simply make sure that the sprockets are installed on the shafts in the correct orientation. It does not appear that they are intended for fine adjustment.

A dough divider works by squeezing the dough flat into a pan and then a cutter will cut the flattened dough into equal sized squares or wedges. If the pieces are varying in weight then the dough is not completely filling the pan due to not being squeezed far enough. There may be a squeeze adjustment, or you may not be adding enough dough. There is no way to tell from your picture. Call the machine manufacturer, or read the operation manual.
