I am confused by your answer, being an ASD type of guy. My understanding of your question is that you are asking where you can find information to perform an LRFD design using L2 Douglas Fir laminations.

If my understanding is correct you need a copy of the 2005 NDS ASD/LRFD or one of the eralier LRFD editions. Regarding the design values for L2 laminations if they are glued up into a column or beam then you use the design values for Identification Number 2, typically referred to as combination #2. You could use the design values for combination #2 from the 2001 NDS as long as you apply the proper LRFD adjustment factors.

If you go to the American Wood Council web site you should be able to down load a lot of information on LRFD design.

If you have L2 lam stock that you want to use as typical lumber then you could contact Western Wood Products Association to find out what visual grade L2 lam stock would make. L2 probably meets #2 grade with some additonal restrictions for use as lam stock.

Sorry I don't have a grade rule book on hand or I could look it up for you.

Thanks... I have the current NDS publication(s) and found the info I was looking for last night.
