Hi,
I only find this symbol, but it's not associative to the hole, so if I change the position, I need to reposition the symbol manually with zoom.
Exist a solution to insert e dowel symbol associative to the hole position and with the dimension symbol equal to the dowel diameter ?

Thank you...

When you place the symbol down instead of picking a "screen position" use the icon to left of that one and place it on a drafting object, then use the centerline as that drafting object.
First it will ask you what drafting object you want to place the symbol on (pick the centerline) then it will ask you where on that drafting object you want the symbol to be placed (pick the center point of the centerline).

I am sorry - we are on differnt NX versions - but there but be someplace on the menu to place it on a drafting object.

Hi jerry, can you make a little video with the NX video toolbar.
You have different version, but I think the process is the same.

After you select the symbol from the list but before you actually place it on the Drawing you will find yourself in a Dialog where you can set how you wish the symbol to appear, such as changing it's scale, orientation, etc. At the top of this dialog there will be a section titled 'Placement'. Expand this section and you will see where the system if expecting you to 'Place Custom Symbol' by making a screen selection. Rather then doing that, select the first icon, titled 'Origin Placement Tool', and a new dialog will appear with your standard 'Origin' options including options for create Associative relationships with existing objects on the Drawing. Note that from this dialog you can go down another level to an even more detailed set of Origin Tools by once again selecting the first icon, titled 'Origin Tool'. You should find more than enough options to define whatever sort of associative relationship that you would like when placing a Custom Symbol.

Hi John,
sorry for the delay, but we had the NX8 presentation.
Thank you for the long explication, so is understandable for all level of NX knowledge.

Hi,
what I'm not able to do is associate the hole dimension to the hole symbol dimension.
I need to scale the symbol manually, so if the hole change dimension, I need for every symbol, redefine manually.

Thank you...
