Hi All,
New to molding/casting/drafts. I can create the drafts I need fine. When I add fillets and radii, draft analysis shows small areas in need of relief(yellow). Why prior to fillets is it ok. Fillet should not add material, relieve to tangents of draft, no? Also on face evaluation check box in draft analysis tool, when checked no yellow - same part?

Before the fillet, you had a sharp edge that defined the border between positive and negative surfaces. Once filleted, there is no abrupt transition. The draft on the filleted edge gradually changes from positive to zero to negative. The yellow is the portion where the draft is less than the threshold setting on your draft analysis.

I understand, is it a problem for the mold guy? Thanks

There will likely be some mismatch and a visible witness line. If you have heavy texture, it will fade where draft is too shallow.
