Hello Gang,
Within the DRAFTING workbench, what is the difference between a DRAFT and a SHEET?
Or is there such a thing as a DRAFT?

Are you talking about Catia V4 or Catia V5? What are you basing your question on? (do you have a specific scenario, or are you asking about terms you heard used)

A V4 "DRAFT" is the equivalent of a V5 "SHEET". Both are the same thing as a piece of paper containing the views of a mechanical drawing.

In V5, I've only seen the term "DRAFT" used for angled faces on molded parts. Have you seen it in the Drafting Workbench?

jackk - "Draft" appears (in the tree) when you import the V4 model containing the 2D "paper" space - the same way "master" appears when you import 3D geometry. I believe that it also names the sheet as "Draft" when you paste the V4 geometry into a CATDrawing.

Hi there Guys,

solid7 - I am talking about CATIA V5 only.
jackk - you have stated exactly what I thought.

Thanks both for your inputs. This is a confusing issue for me when going from CATIA V4 to CATIA V5.
