Hi,
Is it possible to convert a Catia V4 Drafting file to Catia V5?
I got a Catia V4 Drafting file and I need to add some notes on it.
Catia V5 Utilities might help, but I am not sure...
Any idea related to this matter?
In Drafting workbench, create front view, select plane that your 2d data is on.
Then go to view properties of your new view, and check the box for wireframe.
Ferdo, can you make these last two replies more understandable (a step-by-step succession) for me, please?
1) V5 2d in CATPart to CATDrawing... make a projection with wireframe.
2) In Drafting workbench, create front view, select plane that your 2d data is on.
Then go to view properties of your new view, and check the box for wireframe.
I believe is a misunderstanding. What you have is a CATIA v4 2D drafting model file and want to convert in CATIA v5 CATDrawing file. What was suggested is not applicable in your case as far as I know.
What was suggested is applicable when you have (for example) a wireframe (or sketch) in CATIA v5 and you want to project those elements in a v5 CATDrawing.
Anyway, after conversion you will not have any links, everything will be isolated and I believe you can't relink the converted views to, lets say, migrated 3D CATProduct or CATPart.
