Drafts on advanced geometry?

Hello, this is my first posting in these forums. I have been browsing for a while.

I am new to advanced modeling, and I am trying to add drafts to a cast part with complex shape. I naturally want the drafts to start tangent to the surface and add material along the parting line. The standard Advanced Draft doesn't seem to do the trick, but it does show a nice surface which I could offset if the program would let me keep it! See the attached picture.

Does anyone know a way to produce such a surface or any alternative methods of making this draft? It would be greatly appreciated!

hard to see at that picture what you are trying to do, noticed though that you have standard draft option in the advanced draft window, have you tried to switch to draft reflect line option instead?

There is also a simpler draft reflect line feature were the ordinary drafts features are, have you tried them?
