Drawing a line to a spline

So I have a spline in a sketch. I then want to draw a line from a point to that spline. Alternatively, I draw a line then make one point of that line coincident with the spline. But when I zoom in to the point where the line should be touching the spline, I notice that in actuality, the line, despite the coincident constraint, actually runs past the spline.

I figure this may be the reason I'm having some difficulty with making a surface using those lines. It's because they are not intersection.

well me too when a REALLY zoom in I have the same, line extremity in not visually on the curve.
But the distance is 0mm so it's fine, just visual.

Your multi Section surface problem come from something else.
