Hello all,

I am very new to Pro-e after getting acquianted with the software is becoming a bit of a task since I have come from many years using Solidworks. So right now my question is, how would I go about creating center lines on a drawing. For example I have a circular piece and I have several notches around the OD of the part, now I want to dimension the angles at which the notches are positioned but to do so correctly I wish to add center lines from the center of the part to the mid point of the notch feature. How do I do this?? since in Solidworks you can just draw a center line and dimension it right on the drawing

Thanks in advanced

Show/Erase dialop box which will allow you to show the center lines of those circles. Also check out this tutorial.

EMC,

Here is another good link to a getting started tutorial

What you want is under the chapter Creating Drawings in Pro/e WF2. The menu pick is under View > Show/Erase. Then chose your options be carefule not to show all otherwise it clutters your drawing. This dialog box is a lot like SWx's method of show dimensions. Best of luck

thanks for the links and the help. My new employer is sending me to L.A. next week to get some fastrack training. So that should help me as well.

I've taught the Fast Track class in the past and they <cringe> don't tell you how to make center lines... I always have to add that into the lessons and demonstrations...
