I am very new to soildworks, basically on my own at work.

I am trying to draw a profiled bore through the center of a rectangular block.

The bore is a counterbore followed by a straight bore that tapers (larger) to a radius then to a smaller diameter straight bore to a larger diameter counterbore at the end.

How do I go about drawing this?

Thanks for the link. I have done most of the tutorials, it's just I am coming across some things that the tutorial don't really cover.

I have taken a look at the link pasted and played around with the revolved cut feature. How would I draw the profile geometry at the center of this block. I can not use a 3D sketch plane for the geometry, because I have to use a 2D sketch for revolved cut, but I can use it for the axis of revolution.

I am having difficulty getting my profile from the edge to the center.

Do I understand correctly that you just need a plane to sketch on? If so, create a reference plane where you need your sketch plane.

Just a recommendation. Your original sketch that generated your block could/should have been centered about the origin (probably on the front plane). This would have allowed you to create your revolve profile on the side or top plane (without the need to create yet another plane).
