Drawing templates and attributes 2

I have a problem with drawing templates and the attributes. The templates were created like this:
1. attrbiutes are defined in file properties.
2. some attributes will be placed on a drawing, when the PLM Proccess will go through
3. attributes are placed on a drawing with Note command. Only the attribute parameter was written. It looks something like this: <WRef1*0@test>
4. when the attribute is placed on the drawing, you can not see this attribute. It has no value, yet.
5. only when the value is entered for the attribute, you can see this attribute on the drawing.

Now, how can I select those attributes on the drawing template to change their style?
If I don't see them, I can not select them.

The interesting thing is also this. If the attrbiute has its name (right click on a note, select properties and enter the name in General tab), then I can get the information about this note (information/objcet/search by name filter).
But this name filter doesn't work in Style, Edit Display, Move to Layer, etc.

In past versions, the general approach was to add a 'dummy' component with the attributes of interest to the template while you were editing the template, then delete the 'dummy' when the template was complete. I've not (yet) tried this in a recent version (NX 8 or newer) where the attribute framework has been enhanced; I'd guess there are some new challenges along with the new abilities.

Do NOT delete the 'dummy' Component, just make sure that it's not able to be found using the Assembly Load Options. That way the template behavior will automatically replace it on the fly and reconnect to any Attributes that matches those originally found on the 'dummy' Component.

Thanks for those tips. It will help a lot.

You can also use DB_DWG_TEMPLATE_ in front of your attribute, to pass it from the model, to the drawing file. Example, our model files contain the attribute PART_NAME. So in the drawing template, I use DB_DWG_TEMPLATE_DB_PART_NAME. This eliminates the need for the dummy model file.

I'm not sure which version this started, but it works in 8.5. I created a Attribute Template (File, Utilities, Attribute Templates) with all of these, so I can add them, as needed to files.
