I have to create a new set of drawing templates and was hoping there is a way to create the "A" size and then just copy all of the settings, notes, linked properties, etc. over to the "B", "C", & "D" size drawings. Or will I need to create the same template 4 times?

Thanks,
BB

I should add this other question:

Once all the templates are made and I find something I want to change when I am putting a drawing together on the "B" size for example, is there a way for the change on the "B" size to carry over to the a, c, &d sizes. I gues is there a way to link everything between the different templates?

Thanks,
BB

Kevin used to have a written how to on Templates at the Template Wizard website...in case you wanted to do it manually, instead of spending the money on his product. I can't seem to find it now.

Either way, I created my title block for A, then used the same with bigger border for B, C. For D, I scaled up the block, re-sized the text...and re-located it...then added a larger border. For E, I just used the D block with a larger drawing border.

Spend a lot of time getting the CPs on your parts and assemblies to work together. Also, I ended up with different drawing templates for part drawings...and assembly drawings..as I was transferring over different CP data.

Whoh, $500 bucks....I have asked if they have a trial version or something so I can verify the integrity and usefullness of the add-in.

Will report back.

Thanks

Two days?

A set of templates shouldn't take more than about two hours. Open a default SW version and massage to suit.

CBL, when's the last time you made a template? :) I would say that even a pro cannot do a good job of making a series of templates for parts and drawings in 2 hrs unless they start from already existing material.

BTW, I have an assessment of Template Wizard. It's not $500 that I'm aware (unless the price changed again). I think's it's under $300:

Signing up at the Solidworks community link above requires too much info they do not need. The only thing they did not ask for was my SS#. It will probably be added to the list as soon as they realize it is not there. I will have to go without the tutorial.

Thanks
