Drawing updates aren't working for skeletons and copy geom

I am using true Pro/E skeletons that contain copy geometry features. The models that generated the copy geoemtry - which are also true Pro/E skeletons - are in session.

I am also using these skeletons (containing the copy geom)in 'skeleton' sub-assemblies.

The 'skeleton' sub-assemblies are used in a top-level 'skeleton' assembly.

I can see my changes in the top-level assembly, but not in the drawing.

Normally you can force the drawing to updave using:
view/update/current sheet
or
regen draft

I have found that the folling works, but don't understnad why;
edit/regenerate/model/automatic.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Dave

Activate Show Skeleton in your views (in 2001 is under VIEWS->Disp Mode->Viwe Disp->Show Skeleton.

By default, the skeleton are not shown in your views.

Hi Hora

I did this already, that's how I knew they weren't behaving properly! They look like one thing in the top-level assembly, and something else in the drawing containing the top-level assembly.

To add to the confusuion, in the drawing, even the same assembly looks different - work that out!!!

I am using mechanism too, and I wonder whether the mechanism constraints have an effect.

Happy problem solving.

The sub assemblies and their respective drawings will not update until you regenerate the subassembly. The copy geometry is just that - a copy, not the same thing as the actual upper level geometry so it won't update to show the change until you regen the model.
