I have a CatProduct model, which consists of several parts. Most are catparts, but a few were step files brought into Catia.

The problem I am encountering is when I go to create the initial drawing view (Front View). I then select a reference plane as is required. The drawing view that appears, is not parallel (True) to the screen with regards to the surface I selected.
The drawing view is created as an Isometric view.

I thought that maybe it was a setting, but this file appears to be the only one that is experiencing this problem.

Any help resolving this problem would be great!

Thank you.

Stick a temporary, empty V5 part into your product. Select one of the axis planes from that part for your view.

If you want it on another skewed plane, create a datum plane in the temp part from the surface in the step file.
