Good evening, I was wondering if anyone could help me out with the simplest of tasks. I am a custom home designer and I am having to draw a plot plan of an existing residence. It has been a long time and the last time I had to use this I was on R14. I am now on ADT/2000. How do I draw with Degrees,Minutes,Seconds?

Assuming you are using AutoCAD:

Command: LINE From Point (select point or enter coordinates)
To Point: @123.98<N34d26'30"W

This entry draws a line a distance of 123.98 units at a bearing of North 34 degrees 26 minutes 30 seconds East.
Rather than cardinal directions you could use degrees from the origin, usually the Y axis. For example:
To Point: @123.98<124d26'30" would draw same line as previous example.

To 'list' this line and see results in DMS, select appropriate units format.

Hope this helps,
Carl
