Drawings will not insert model dimensions

Has anybody had problems having SW insert model dimensions on creation of views, we have the place dimensions inserted from model checked. What gives? SW4 sp3 win XP.

If your drawing is of a Mirrored part, no dimension will insert. Besides this, I haven't seen an error like you are describing.

There are no mirrored parts, does not work on any parts at all, the only exception is if we us a predefined view, (is that a requirement). We can manualy insert model items marked for import.

One of the vagaries of inserted dimensions is that they are sensitive to view orientation. If they aren't "square" with the view orientation, SW may balk at insertin dimensions.

Also, if you are using "relative to model" views, beware. Sometimes when these views are inserted they do not ask if you want projected or isometric views, and views are set to isometric without the user's knowledge. I wrote an addin to compensate for this, as we've lost many man-hours due to this.
