Dear Friends,
Please tell how can i drill a 12 mm thick hardened Steel PLate. Tell me the type of drill machine i should use, i have to drill around 200 holes to make a perforating die.
Thank you for any help.

Information on diameter of holes, tolerance on diameter and location, length and width of plate would be helpful.

Use annealed die steel of a type that will match your end use, and harden it AFTER the machinign is done. This is how it's done. You can EDM pre-hardened blanks, but this can be rather costly given the number of holes needed.

You were given some good advice several months ago regarding triangular holes, much of those suggestions still hold.
