Hi, everyone,
If a brushless dc generator is rated at 10kw at 2000RPM, is it safe to drive it as a motor to obtain 5kw at 500RPM for a short period of time? My concern is that generator is only capable of generating 2.5kw at 500RPM (roughly 10/2000*500). To drive it at 5kw doubles the rated current. It may demagnetized the magnets. Can anyone comment on this issue.
Thank you so much.
