Is it me or can I not select multiple dimensions, then RMB and select from Driven to Driving or Driving to Driven?

I can do it one at a time, but why can't I do a group of dimensions... that just seems dumb to me. Now if I included one that was driving and one that is driven I can understand that, but not if they are all drivin.

Would be nice if there is a hidden Command for this, would love to add it to my list since there is not any help topics that I can easily find in the help.

Thanks,

Never mind I found it... its in the Property Manager under the Other Tab... would be nice if they pointed that out in the help.

Thanks Scott, I was actually going to post something on this yesterday as well! :)

Would you are anyone else know how to make a macro for this? I know it seems simple to click a few buttons to do this but I would rather save time and click once. I would assume if someone’s able to create this, I would think it should work if you wanted to make one dimension driven/driving to multiple dimensions driven/driving...

Thanks,
Todd

Scott,

I think you should also add it to the
thread559-297512 post

One tip I tell people who want to quickly swap driven/driving status in sketch is to keep the Options tab open instead of clicking the (Check, OK) mark or hitting Enter or Esc.
This will keep the Options tab focussed for every subsequent dimension clicked which saves time over selecting options each time.

I remember in the old days when you could hit Alt+R to activate the Properties button at bottom of Property Manager and get taken to where the driven check box was. This I think also reveals another bug about the TABS in the Property Manager or other areas is that the Tab Buttons cannot be tabbed to using the keyboard. This affects or prevents creating keyboard shortcuts for commands to be used on Motion Controllers or other programmable button boards.

This has been a problem since the new multi-tab Property Manager was introduced in 2008 v16. In all other windows programs that I know of the named [TABS] can be TABbed or Shift-TABbed to.

This is a definite Bug or SPR etc. (SPRs don't spread diseases) for usability of the software.
SPR = Software Performance Report for those of you unfamiliar with the term.

All other windows programs and dialog windows. use tab to move cursor highlight from region to region.

Select your Desktop
hit the "Apps Key"
Hit "r"
-Display Properties comes up-
Hit the |Tab| key until the current tab is highlighted.
Using the Arrow keys you can cycle through the tabs to activate them.

Or do the same on a SolidWorks or shortcut.lnk file to activate File Properties
Since the tabs aren't buttons or commands SolidWorks Corp. didn't program them correctly and now they are not selectable by a keyboard unless you're using mouse keys.

It's one thing to screw up new features and other functionality during development, but when basic windows functionality like the Right Click menu and tab focus cannot be ignored like this.

Google Talk prevent the Right Click menu and SolidWorks used to in properties dialog.
