I need to do some landscaping in my back yard. Unfortunately the only way to reach it is crossing the septic field. Can I have heavy equippment drive over the filed to unload filling material and soil, when the ground is frozen to avoid damage of the septic field?

Probably OK, as long as the ground is frozen solid. The weeping bed and tiles should be under the frost line anyway. I wouldn't do it with the really heavy equipment, such as the larger cranes or pit mine trucks, just in case. But standard dump trucks, bobcats etc should be alright.
