Hi all, my name is Law. Im very new here and would like understand more on duplex SS which were specify and used in our project in United Arab Emirates. The site is like 200 meters away from the coast line.
Duplex SS is used externally. The spec called for Duplex SS 1.4462 and we have supplied our castings in 1.4470. Consultants now says that we deviate from the specification.
To start off, is there a significant difference?
SS grade 316 fasteners/bolts are used and corrosion are forming everywhere.
