I hope this is the correct forum for this question.
I have a client who is getting some resistance from their local building official regarding the use of Durisol's ICF blocks for a below grade foundation. The primary difference with this system is that their 'blocks' are made from rock wool & cement rather than foam plastic. Otherwise they are just another form of ICF that get rebar and concrete infill.
I'm looking for some wisdom with regard to assuring the building official that they are as adequate as any other ICF system.

What concerns does the building official have? The best source for eliminating doubt about the product would be the ICF block manufacturer. Have you consulted the manufacturer?
