I'm looking for on-line resources related to the suppression and prevention of dust explosions and fires.

In particular I'm interested in the drying, milling, conveying, and storage of soy powders.

Thank you.

Wayne,

try
go to the Safety, Health and Enironmental links page

from there you will see the Gas and Dust Explosion page

On that page there are 14 links in all and 7 of those are specific to dust explosions (3 of those are specific to dust explosions in the food industry)

one of the links even has some test videos of different dust explosions ( wood dust, sugar flour, coal, peat, metal, etc.)

I hope this helps.

You should check out NFPA 654, Standard for the Prevention of Fire and Dust Explosions from the Manufacturing, Processing, and Handling of Combustible Particulate Solids.
