Hi,

I'm purchasing a magnetizing machine for company, and it has specs as follow:

3-phase, 380V, 50Hz

Current = 300A
Duty cycle = 30%

Taking into consideration of the duty cycle, how much power should be allocated for safe operation?

It depends on how you are planning to use it. If you run it for one minute and let it cool for 2 minutes or more, then it is quite safe to fuse it for 100 A or 125 A. But, if you run it 10 minutes and let it cool for 20 minutes and do it all the day, you may need to go up to full 300 A - or just below. It depends on your protection and its time constant also.

Half full - Half empty? I don't mind. It's what in it that counts.
