.dwg to IGES

I have an AutoCAD file and I have been asked to send it
as an IGES file. Is there any type of converting program
I could use. Thanks for the help.

Try typing IGESOUT at the command line.

SolidWorks has a free add on to ACAD called XchangeWorks that has translators for AutoCAD.

I couldn't find the free version. The website only had
the one to buy.

Are you sure you are looking in the right place. It says right in the text it is free. You just fill out the form and they send you the CD.
