I'm starting to get 2010 autocad files, and I have in the past used Dwggateway to open any version of autocad files (*.dwg). Is there a new version of this software available for autocad 2010.

Effective March 2, 2010 (From Aaron Kelly, General Manager, Service Innovation, DS SolidWorks Corp), the DWGgateway product will be retired.

That blows, SW 2010 won't even open a 2010 autocad drawing.
Now what? I'm not buying a seat to autocad.

Import .dwg or .dxf from ACAD to SW.
I prefer to create them in SW format.

Joek, you can try using DWGEditor to open the ACAD files.

Support for AutoCAD 2010 DXF/DWG File Formats
SolidWorks 2010 Service Pack 2.0 supports the AutoCAD® 2010 DXF/DWG file formats.
