DXF export scale???

On at least 2 separate occasions, DXFs of sheet metal flat patterns have exported as 2X scale. The most recent case occurred when I did a batch export of DXFs using SW Task Scheduler. Curiously, all but one flat pattern exported at 2:1. The other one was fine.

I've checked the drawings - all sheets were set to 1:1 scale, and the views in question (only 1 per sheet) were either set to use the sheet scale or use a custom scale of 1:1.

Has anyone else encountered this? Any suggestions? I suspect that the task scheduler is the source of the problem, but that's just speculation on my part.

Thanks,

Don't use Sheet Scale 1:1 only use View scale 1:1. With TS I don't think you can't really control this, so hopefully it uses the settings from the drawing.

Scott,

Are you referring to the Options tab during DXF output? View scale 1/1 as opposed to Sheet scale 1/1?

What is the difference between these two options?

If both the sheet scale and the view scale are set to 1/1, what would cause a DXF to export at 2/1?

Sorry for all the questions, but everyone involved here is fortunate that the issue was caught before any parts were made and we would very much like to avoid this issue in the future.

Exporting DXFs in this manner is something we do regularly, which makes task scheduler quite convenient. If however, there is a bug with task scheduler, we don't want to sacrifice accuracy for the sake of convenience.

Yes that is what I'm refering too.

You can only select on or the other either Sheet or view. If you select the Sheet 1:1, then your sheet (e.g. B-size) will be the correct scale.

If you select your views to be 1:1 then all views will exported out 1:1.

The help gives a better explaination in SW05.

No where in the TS do I see an option for picking 1:1 scale output for either the sheet or views. So my guess is the problem is in the fact that it goes by what is already set in the options for each drawing file.

But without going into a full test here. It looks like the export options are remembered like a system setting is in SW, instead of a document setting.

You should test this out with 2 different drawing that you export out with different views ans scales to see what happens. Also check with your VAR.
