Hi all !

Anyone use dynamic blocks often and if so what are your thoughts on them ?

I have Autocad Lt 2006, my understanding is that it can manage them but cannot create them right?

I use them all the time in generating electrical prints and PI&D drawings. For example I now have just one control relay contact block and I have automated it for NC or NO using a visibility parameter in the dynamic block. Another example is my terminal strip dynamic block. I plunk a terminal strip down and then I can stretch or shrink it to the discrete number of terminals with proper spacing needed depending upon the number of terminals on the TB.

I don't know if LT supports them or not. Sorry.

I use them a lot but not with LT. A great time saver. We have one that for pipe flanges. It can be any size up to 36", be blind, weld-neck or slip-on and change orientation. Another one does valves. They have their place but regular blocks are better in some instances.
