Hi everyone. I am looking into purchasing a dynamic signal analyzer that can accept acceleration or displacement signals and other inputs (instrumented hammer, for example) and calculate frequency response and other functions. Many many years ago HP use to make them. These days Data Physics seem to produce good HW.
Can anyone suggest other manufacturers?
thanks.

The old HP stuff. Brilliant and bomb-proof. We had several HP 35670A back in the mid 90's and I see you can still pick up used examples. Not cheap though. What was special about them was that you could program them with HP Instrument BASIC and talk to the instrument through the GPIB ( - build your own DIY analysis system.

Thank you Steve and Greg. I did use the 3356X series many years ago. I cannot convince my bosses to get that technology nowadays even though I agree it is solid. B&K has Photon+, which seems to compare well with Data Physics Quattro.
Cheers
