Note also, you cannot qualify as a CVE on your own. You can offer CVEs services [if you are experienced in demonstrating compliance to design codes such as CS25 (which might be slightly different to FAR25 in some requirements)], but each DOA will appoint you as a CVE under their Design Assurance System.

"you cannot qualify as a CVE on your own" … you guys don't have independent CVEs ?

I guess you could call a DAR (in Canada, DER in US) a one man DAO (in Canada, ODA in US, or DOA in Europe … good grief !)
but that's not how we're officially viewed. I have my own DAR number (as distinct to a DAO number), and I have a DAD number when I'm working within a DAO.

What's going to happen in the UK ??
