Currently in my calculations I declare the initial conditions as an overly long matrix, which is difficult to fit on the page, 30 rows. I am therefore wondering if there is a more compact way to declare a matrix, or perhaps to be able to convert a vector into a matrix? My matrix basically is just angular velocities from 100RPM to 3000RPM.

You can use a data table. Insert|Data|Table

This puts the matrix in table form with scrollable columns and rows. If you go to the last column and row that you will use and enter a number, zeros will be entered for unused elements up to that element. Don't try to copy and paste values in elements. You will end up emptying all of the elements already entered.
