I have a plate with several different size bosses and grooves that I need to make an impression of. I intend to make a nest for this plate. What is the easiest way to go about this? Currently, I sketch the plate using the inverse of the print but I now have the model of the part but don't know exactly how to make an impression. I believe it's within the combined command??

Place the part in an assembly.
Create another part in the assembly that fits over your part.
Use the cavity command to make a cavity of your plate.
Slice up the cavity to suit.

See help for the cavity command.
