Hello all,

I would like to obtain a stress-strain data. I can access a curve from a book, but I would ideally like the actually data. I may need to run the stress-strain test myself. I am wondering the easiest way to determine the stress-strain of a material. We have very little bugdet to do this I may only be able to get hold of very small size specimens.

Any input would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Have a local materials or metallurgical lab perform standard tensile testing.

It costs less than $100 to obtain stress-strain data from a qualified lab in North America. I assume that the price is similar elsewhere in the world.

Thanks TVP, does that include the material? Thanks.

No, that is the price for the test to be done on your sample. You have to provide the material sample. Otherwise if you only interested at some common material, you can get it from any online info or literature.
