Easy one - does anybody other than students still use Cremona-Maxwell diagrams for 2d truss analysis?

The use of Cremona - Maxwell diagrams was a standard practice at Eastern Europe countries before 90's but only for 2D truss analysis. The old western books which i have, implies this method was used before 60's.

It doesn't really work for 3d it has no way of understanding two superimposed beams in a given view on a plane.

I haven't done them for a couple of years... but use Autocad and not parallel rule and triangles.
