Hi,
it's possible to edit a sheet metal part in assembly context without see the entire part ?
For example, if I edit a part in the assembly context, the flat pattern is shown.

Thank you...

Hi Didier,
I'm using NX7 and maybe you aren't aligned to the new method to create flat pattern (solid).
New method use reference set to hide FP not layer and sincerely I don't like layer.

Thank you...

Go to...

Preferences -> Assemblies...

...and the 3rd item in the dialog, 'Display as Entire Part', should be toggled OFF. If not, then do so.

To an Engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

To start with, unless you've gone back and explicitly made them 'External', all Sketches created in the NX Sheet Metal module are created as hidden or 'Internal' sketches. Now even if you DO make them external, they will NOT automatically be included in the Model Reference Set unless you do that yourself.
