Edit Text Within Block Problem

Before loading SP4.0 I was able to insert a block in to my drawing. Then I could double click on text within it and be able to edit the text.
Now I can double click all day and nothing happens.
Is this an OE(operator error) problem or something to do with SP4.0?

Thanks,
Lori

Lori,
We also had this problem. One of our drafters called our VAR and he said, “That the text is linked to the insertion point.” What this means is that the drafter changed the insertion point from the lower left corner to the middle left side of the block. Now what we have to do to change the text in a block is double click on the top center of the block. Which is exactly the same distance the insertion point moved. Good luck and I hope this helps. Thanks for the response.

Actually I found out what it was.
I had installed SP4.0 and ever since then I can't edit the text inside the blocks.
I tested my theory by opening the same file on a computer that I hadn't put the patch on and it worked perfectly.
This happens with all of my files. I even tried making new blocks after the SP4.0 was loaded and they did the same thing.
I am not sure if I am the only one having this problem, I haven't seen anyone else complaining about it??
I am going to try to uninstall SP4.0.

Lori

Lori,
Before you do the uninstall. Double click all over the block to see if you can find the edit point. It worked for us. Bradley

I double clicked until the cows came home and nothing.
I will try a couple more files though just in case.
