I've generated the default automatic parts list in an assembly drawing.
Is there a way of making the part name and/or description columns show as well as the part id?

I've read the help files but they're not helpful at all.

This is in NX6.

Just select a Column where you would like to add an additional one, press MB3 and select the 'Insert' a 'Column to the Left (Right)' option. Once created, select the new column, press MB3, select 'Style', select the 'Columns' tab and you can define the attribute or information which will be presented in that column.

Aha, thanks, got that to work now.

I spent about half an hour trying various things.
What stopped me working it out for myself was that the selection of the actual column rather than cells within it was not clear. Unless the column is selected properly then no "columns" tab appears in the style menu.

The best way to select the column seems to be to hover on the edge of the table on the column required.

If the all the cells are selected then "right-click", "select from list" only brings up "parts list cell" as an option.

I found some useful 'codes' that, when entered in the table, allow you to pull data into the table in an associative manner rather than typing it in manually. Some of these are already populated but I don't think the part description is.

Part Item ID <W$=@CALLOUT>
Part Number <W$=@$PART_NAME>
Part Description <W$=@?DB_PART_NAME>
Part Quantity $~Q

There are probably others or more elegant ways of achieving this but it works for me and if it helps you then that's cool ...
