Quick question & hopefully a easy question.
I use SW 2012 & a customer has sent me a eDrawing.
This is my first time attempting to create a assembly from a eDrawing.
My problem is the eDrawing shows all of the assembly, but when I try to import it in to SW 2012 I recive a error stating the file is incompatible, missing etc.
I can ask for another format, but would rather not talk to this particular customer unless it is absolutely nessacery.

Yes, it was an easy question.
No, you can't open an eDrawing assy in SW.
If you want customers, I suggest communicating with them.
Ask for SolidWorks, or a compatible format.

If your customer has sent you an eDrawing, they can send you the native SolidWorks file(s). The only issue would be if they're running SW2011 or earlier. In that case, ask them to send you a neutral file (*.step, *.iges, *.x_t). Communication is key.
