eDrawing question 1

Hello All,
How do I change the paper background and gradient background colors in edrawings? All my templates are white on white and when checked in PDMWorks, they view in edrawing to the standard SW color defaults. I'm trying to capture views of old revisions to put in my Excel ECO's. The(light brown) paper background is messing things when pasting in Excel.

Also, all users have the same color scheme defaults. Thanks to ctopher showing me how to use the Copy Options Wizard though our network.

I'm halfway there. It fixed the Gradient background, but not the paper background.

eDrawings 2005 has an option 'use gradient background' button under the Tools > Options dialog box.

SW 2004 has the same option, but nothing for paper background.

Well, rebooting didn't seem to work.

Oh, CorBlimeyLimey.........that background button controls the gradient color.

Still looking at PDMWorks options as well as SW color options

There is an answer out there...........somewhere.......

In tools/options/system options, did you scroll down to see "drawings, paper color"?

As Heckler points out, it looks like 2005 version has added a switch to force the sheet colour to "use gradient background".

Till you get 2005 you could remove sheet colour using Photoshop or similar. It would be a PITA but might be a temporary solution.

Do you mean under SW? If so, yes,that's where I changed everything to white. Background and Paper color.

In PDMworks, the "Preview Picture" tab looks great and also correct. But when I select the "View" tab (which uses edrawings) the paper color changes to that light brown color.

Oh, yes ... I see.
I do see the same problem. I can't seem to change it.
