If they allowed STL export when they created it, you could save-as .stl and open that in SWx.

Otherwise, contact the company and ask nicely for the file?
 
From an .eprt, yes, but not from an .edrw

Yes you can. I've not had any problems with it as of yet. The only draw back I see in opening this file type is that you are unable to use feature recongnize and also not able to measure the solid part with tools>measure. You however can use the model to implement into an assembly and etc.

You can open them, but check the options when you do. Make sure to bring it in a bodies or surfaces in order to do anything at all.

And yes, it will be a bunch of triangle surfaces . . .[thumbsdown]
