You get a drawing from someone else that comes with this stamp. And even if you use it as a block into your other drawing, whatever comes out has this ugly "Produced by Autodesk Educational Product" printed on 4 margins in boldface.

I respect copyrights, but this happens in my other drawing simply because I have inserted information created from an educational product.

The boldface messes up any print in small page format though it is not so disturbing in large formats.

Autodesk of course does warn of the consequence.

But any way around this problem will be highly appreciated.

Buy a real copy - and have the "someone" else buy a real copy.

Someone might be stealing software.........

I agree with you MiketheEngineer

We have a real copy(light version),but the problem is when someone brings in drawings with educational stamp.

I guess you mean we should get a standard version.

I think he means that the person using the educational version and supplying you with the "infected" drawings should read the EULA and quit using the student version for commercial purposes.

not to mention that any drawing the educational version has touched will now be infected... won't look good if any of your drawings go out of house... what will your clients think of you (even although it may not be your fault !) ?

If that happened to me I would find the culprit and give them a severe warning so that it doesn't happen again

IJR,

if you have a "real" version, you can ask your Acad-dealer for cleaning the *.dwg...

Right -

The person with the "educational" version needs to update!!

That version is for "study" only and not for commercial work.

Last time I looked AutoCad Lite was around $500 and cheaper at E-bay or Amazon. GET LEGAL

Thanks Guys

I will go on ask our dealer to clean up and simply not accept the stamped documents

At one time, you could export the dwg out as a dxf and then re-import it again.

So long as you were using a 'full version', this worked.

Autodesk may have changed this behavior in new version.
