Have question regarding Zone 2 EExnA motors according to
IEC. We have noticed we have an offer for a 3.3Kv motor, which as a Exe terminal box. ( i.e the terminals are according to IEC regarding clearances etc ). However this terminal box is also equipped with a pressure relief diaphragm. I cannot see anything in the IEC60079-15 which specifically mentions terminal boxes designs. Is this such a good idea to have such a device. If a fault occured at the same time a hazardous gas is present. and the diaphragm burst, this would ignite the gas???
