Dear All,
We are using methanol injection to avoid hydrate formation in sweet service. Is this effect on Co2 corrosion? CO2 corrosion rate is decreasing by adding glycol concentration. I want to know the effect of methanol in co2 corrosion?
Please clarify.

Thanks

It is not the methanol, but the oxygen you can introduce with the methanol. You can get inhibited methanol, most chemical suppliers will already sell it this way.

The methanol absorbs the water so there is no aqueous electrolyte.
