I am designing Refrig Plant for Propane cooling (-50C) using R410a. The compressors are oil injected screw and there is oil recovery, however there is oil carry over into the Heat Exchangers.

Is there any papers/ software available to calculate the performance degredation due to the oil film on Heat Exchanger tubes.

R-410a acts as a solvent on HT surfaces having a cleaning effect on the surfaces. Typically on a bare or finned surface, You use a zero fouling factor. Refrigerant is removed from the oil with sump heaters in a oil recovery system.
