Effective inertia of drivetrain with clutch slipping

You'll have to do it from first principles rather than plugging in numbers to an equation. First you need to decide what you mean by drivetrain inertia and how it can be measured. I'm not sure that the concept is particularly useful as a single number when the clutch is slipping. After all, if the vehicle is stationary the drivetrain inertia is zero, so you need to consider more than just the simple parameters in your equation.

I suspect the desired textbook answer is that if you know the %clutch slip you can modify N to become Nslip=N*(1-clutch slip) where clutch slip is the fraction of slip, from 0 when fully engaged to 1 when fully slipping. I have zero confidence that that is a useful concept.
