Hi Guys,

I'm looking for the following document which should be public domain, but cant seem to find it:
AFWAL-TR-81-3114 Effects of Bearing/Bypass Load Interaction on Laminate Strength

Anyone know where to get a copy?

Regards,
Bas

I don't have a copy of that paper, but I am pretty sure the author was John Hart-Smith. One of his papers on the subject is NASA CR 144899. I have a soft copy but can't work out how to attach it. I also have a copy of Bolted Composite Joints with Orthogonal Load Components. If we can work out how to make contact, I could send them if you wish.

the the "attachment" button at the bottom of the screen ... try the "upload to engineering.com"

NASA reports should be available online, try ntrs.nasa.gov/search

Hi,

It's not a NASA doc. It's an airforce one, but not available in dtic.

It's from Garbo who also wrote AFWAL-TR-81-3041 about BJSFM.

everyspec.com has -3041 but not -3114

Funny, my Firefox browser will download it, but Chrome won't.... Is this a case of a new dog not learning an old dog's trick? [wink]

Beats me Sparweb. I can dpwnload it using Firefox. Sounds like a BGF to me (Bill Gates Factor). If you can suggest an alternative method I will send it that way. I once put my email address on this site and was chastised by the webmaster for it, otherwise we could get it to you that way.

It's okay; I got it with Firefox, after trying first with Chrome. It's one of the reasons why I always have 2 or 3 internet browsers on my computers. What works in one doesn't in another, and I'm losing interest in why.

The article looks useful, Thanks!
