I am looking for the effet of the :

1- Titanium Nitrides : Ti2N
2- Boron Nitrides : BN

What effet of these two componds on steels ?

Especially during the solidification and the effect on

- metallurgical features
- Mechanical features

thanks a lot in advane ....

I think that the compounds you mention in your question are not usual constituents of steel.
The only way to incorporate them would be probably by powder metallurgy.
Their effect would be dependent on their shape, size and fraction and on the matrix material.

No i want to make a microalloyed steel (50ppm of nitrogen) with either Titanium or Boron ?

What is the effect of the Ti2N or BN precipitates on steel's features ?

Addition of titanium and boron is quite tricky,as they tend to fade off very fast. what equipment do you plan to use for carrying out these additions. You should expect finer grains, better hardenability, higher toughness. If you can read ASM vol 1,there is a complete chapter devoted to this topic.

There was a lot of work done during the 40's and 50's on boron microalloyed steel, since you could get the same hardenability with a lower alloy content. In general for both elements I would expect finer grain size, higher strength, lower ducticlity and lower impact toughness. Without knowing your application I'd also suggest taking a look at High Strength Low Alloy steel literature (google search should turn up something).
