Efficiency loss from rewinds

Can anyone give me a reference, on-line or printed, that deals with the motor rewind process , with specific information regarding the process effect on motor efficiency?

It seems losses incurred vary from 1% (best) to 2-3%. Some sources say "per rewind" while others consider this as a total.

HE motors have been (in some cases) designed to allow a rewind w. as little as 0,5% loss.

It appears that the quality of rewiding plays an important role. Supposing that the Original Equipment Manufacturer rewinds the motor with the same quality of windings as for the new motors, then the effect on motor efficiency should be approaching to zero or the zero for all practical purposes.
